Salutations Fellow Chefs,
I love exercising and, as a vegan, I am always trying to find delicious and healthy ways to take in protein. An easy, yet detectable treat that helps me achieve this goal is smoothies! If you want a quick breakfast or a fulfilling post-workout lunch look no further! This is my favorite Peanut Butter Protein Shake:
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of frozen spinach
- ½ one frozen banana
- 2 tablespoons of Peanut Butter
- ¾ cup of milk of your choice (I prefer unsweetened Silk Almond Milk)
- 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- ¼ cup of strawberries*
- 1 – 2 Medjool dates*
- Cacao nibs*
* denotes optional
Directions: (Total time: 5 minutes)
- *Soak dates in water for 1-2 minutes
- Place the spinach, bananas and peanut butter into the blender
- *Place the strawberries and dates in the blender
- Add the milk
- Add the cocoa powder
- Blend!
- Sprinkle the cacao nibs and enjoy!
