One of my favorite Shabbat afternoon snacks is chocolate bark. It’s the perfect mix of sweet, crunchy, and satisfying. Whether I’m sharing it with family after lunch or sneaking a piece before dinner, it always feels like a treat. The best part? It’s incredibly easy to make! In just 15 minutes, you’ll have a delicious batch that’s more than enough to share.
Creative Chocolate Bark
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup toppings (some of my favorites are dates, nuts, coconut, M&M’s, white chocolate, peanut butter, seeds, and pretzels)
Instructions:
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring after each one.
- Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and use a spatula to evenly spread the melted chocolate. (Pro Tip: If it’s too thick, it will be hard to break up and eat; if it’s too thin, it will melt too quickly)
- Pour the toppings evenly over the chocolate.
- Lightly press them into the chocolate.
- Place the baking sheet in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.
- Break into pieces and enjoy!
