While most kids our age are playing video games or watching TikTok, I’m doing something a little different. I run my own online radio station called TTHM.fm, where I DJ and play techno, trance, and house music for people all over the world.
I’ve been into DJing for basically my whole life. I got my first DJ set when I was five years old, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Even back then, I loved the idea of mixing songs together and creating something new. As I got older, that love just kept growing.
At first, I was just practicing in my room, trying not to annoy my family too much with all the bass. But then I thought, why not share this with other people who love the same kind of music? That’s when I created TTHM.fm. Now when I go live, I have actual listeners from different places tuning in. It’s honestly crazy to think about.
When I’m DJing, I’m not just pressing buttons randomly. I’m picking songs that flow together, timing the transitions so they sound smooth, and trying to create a vibe that keeps people listening. It’s like telling a story, but with music instead of words. Some tracks are intense and energetic, others are more chill and dreamy. The best part is when everything comes together perfectly.
Running TTHM.fm has taught me that you don’t need to wait until you’re older to start something cool. I’ve been working on this skill since I was five, and now I get to share it with the world. Yeah, I made tons of mistakes along the way, but that’s how you learn.
